PROFILE:
On September 7, 1977, proud parents Rick and Bonnie Greenwald welcomed their beautiful little girl Nora Kristina into the world in Forest Lake, Minnesota, nearly 25 miles north of Minneapolis & St. Paul. She grew up in a loving home with two younger brothers, Chancey (older) & Luke (younger), in nearby Linwood Township. She learned gymnastics when she was only three years old.

Her father was a power lifter and both father and daughter would train together. At 14 years of age, she set a Minnesota state power lifting record in her age division by lifting 100 lbs., breaking the old record of 75 lbs. It is a record that still stands today. (And she did it without the use of performance enhancing substances.) She attended Forest Lake High School where she competed in gymnastics and the team went to two straight state high school finals.

Upon graduating high school, Nora went to work at Subway in Tampa, Florida. It was there were a wrestler named Tim Mahoney invited her to come check out a wrestling school. She had no idea that women wrestled. She never heard of such stars like the Fabulous Moolah, Wendi Richter, Leilani Kai or Penny Banner. She did remember seeing "Sensational" Sherri Martel and Miss Elizabeth as managers. Little did she know she was about to join the elite fraternity of women wrestling legends.

Nora's career began as Starla Saxton in a match in Land-O-Lakes, Florida, back in 1997. The event was outdoors, and she competed in front of about six people seated ringside after a seemingly endless rain storm. She then went on to compete on the independent circuit, winning the WPWF (World Professional Wrestling Federation) Women's Championship from The Wench and the hearts of many fans. As Starla Saxton, she made her World Wrestling Federation debut in the fall of 1998 when she meet WWF (now-WWE) Women's Champion Jacqueline. Although, she lost the match, she earned the respect of many fans and peers. Nora moved on to WCW where former WWE Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage asked her to train his girlfriend Gorgeous George (Stephanie Bellars) to wrestle referee Charles Robinson. Nora then found herself as a member of Savage's entourage called "Team Madness" along with Madusa Miceli and Gorgeous George. She became Miss Madness and after splitting with "Team Madness", she became Mona wrestling in a dress-type outfit and continuing to take her lumps and earn her keep.

Nora as a babyAfter being let go by WCW, she returned to the WWE shortly thereafter, with the encouragement of Randy Savage, and with a new identity, one that would make her a superstar - Molly Holly! Her character started as the bleached-blond country "cousin" of Hardcore (Bob) Holly and Crash Holly (the late Michael Lockwood). Her storylines ranged from being at war with the Dudley Boyz to dating Spike Dudley, being put through a table to kicking Crash Holly's butt in the ring.

During the "WCW and ECW" invasion angle, she changed her identity from a country girl to a superhero. "Holy sidekick, Hurricane! It's Mighty Molly!" She teamed up with WWE European Champion The Hurricane (Shane Helms) during the war between the WWE and the Alliance. She kept the Mighty Molly persona for a few more months and continued her partnership with the green and black clad crime fighter. That was until she committed a crime of her own (so to speak). She beat Hurricane for the WWE Hardcore Title at WrestleMania X-8 in Toronto, Ontario on March 17, 2002, but lost it later that night to Christian (not a Christian, but Jason Reso). Shortly afterward, she once again became Molly Holly, yet turned heel. In the process, she won her first WWE Women's Title at the King Of The Ring pay-per-view in Columbus, Ohio, from Trish Stratus on June 23, 2002, but lost it back to Trish three months later in Los Angeles. (Trish and Nora are actually real good friends and love to clown around whenever they get together.) That win by Molly at KOTR changed her life forever.

She would win a second WWE Women's Title on July 23, 2003 from Gail Kim on WWE RAW. She would then lose the title to Victoria (Lisa Marie Varon) on February 23, 2004, in Omaha, Nebraska in a four-way elimination match along with Jazz and Lita. Molly and Victoria would meet again in a rematch at Wrestlemania XX at Madison Square Garden in New York City in a Title vs. Hair Match - Victoria's title vs. Molly's hair, a match made by then-RAW G.M. Stone Cold Steve Austin. Sadly for her fans, Molly lost the match... and her hair. She would wear wigs for several months as she continued to feud with some of the WWE Divas, including Victoria. She would later participate in the Lita pregnancy storyline with Trish, Kim and others and drop two matches to newcomer Christy Hemme.

In April of 2005, Nora asked for her release from the WWE and it was granted. Fortunately, she and WWE boss Vince McMahon parted on good terms and the door is always open for her to return. This dispelled any idiotic internet rumors that many wrote about her unfairly. The rumor mongers earned the disgust and anger of her dearest fans. She wanted to spend more time with her family and do more church activities. Her strong Christian beliefs and good moral values have earned her tremendous respect from her peers in professional wrestling, especially Mr. McMahon, her fans and friends. The fact that her departure from the WWE was on good terms shows that she has remarkable class and character in the way it was handled.

Following her departure from the WWE, many wrestling rumor websites, radio shows and magazines began speculating as to why she Nora left without consulting her first. In the summer of 2005, she released her shoot DVD Nora Greenwald: Shootin' The Shi Crap to set the record straight and calmed her fans' fears. It became one of the most popular "shoot" DVD's in history and all of the proceeds from sales went to the education fund of Patti Lockwood, daughter of the late "Crash Holly" Mike Lockwood. After being out of the wrestling spotlight for several months, she made her first public appearance since her WWE departure on November 20, 2005 (one week after the death of Eddie Guerrero), at Northern Impact Wrestling first-ever live event at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in her hometown of Forest Lake, Minnesota. She signed autographs and copies of her DVD and was even challenged by the promotion's champion "The Answer" Al B.C. and his manager The C.E.O. She obviously declined.

Nora made her in-ring return as a referee at NIW's Against All Odds (now Against All Authority) in Amery, Wisconsin, on January 8, 2006. She reffed the women's match between Rain and Ann-Thraxx, where she was shoved by Thraxx and she shoved back. Nora also made the decisive three-count in the 10-War elimination match after pantsing the C.E.O., who would get beat up by the winning Team Revolution as a pre-match stipulation.

Among other appearances, she repeated the reffing feat at the NIW vs. NPW World Series of Wrestling for Team NIW and gave a stunner to the C.E.O. She also made her return as a wrestler when she beat Jonny Fairplay in less than 30 seconds, but has not wrestled since. She was also picked on, but not challenged, by indy wrestler "The Future" Dustin Wood.

Despite all the ups and downs in the industry and in her life, Nora has always held her head high, withstood all ridicule and has always been who she is -- the one and only, the classy, the genuine article -- Nora "Molly Holly" Greenwald! May God richly bless her and her entire family!

EXCLUSIVE: Nora gives her personal testimony courtesy of an interview at the Ring Of Glory website:
"Growing up, my family attended church every Sunday. I always knew there was a God, but I didn't have a personal relationship with him. When I was 14, I attended a Bible camp in Osecola, WI. One of the speakers asked "If you died today, do you know for sure that you would go to heaven"?

"That question made my stomach churn, my hands sweat and my heart feel heavy. I wasn't sure if I was going to heaven when I die. They did an alter call and invited those who wanted to give their lives to Christ up to the front of the auditorium to pray. I knew deep down God was calling me to make a commitment to Him. But, I didn't go up.

"I was scared. Scared that I wouldn't be able to be the perfect Christian. I was worried I would make that decision and then not be able to change my behavior for the better. My heart stayed heavy for 3 days after the Bible camp. Then, at my bedside at home I knelt down and gave my life to Christ. Instantly the weight was lifted and I realized God loves me, imperfections and all."
