Medical Issues and
More!
by Michael
Porter
Hey Everybody...
DAMN...I have
been trying to cope with a pretty nasty cold for the last few days!
Between seemingly, coughing up a lung and blowing my nose until it's
red and sore...I AM MISERABLE!
Still...my
WONDERFUL dog, Pepper stays by my side, trying to comfort me as best
she can!
But sometimes,
I'll snap at her when she repeatedly wants to "go outside". It's NOT
her fault of course! It's Mother Nature!
Mother Nature
including the fact that Pepper is currently "in heat" and is being
"pursued" by every male in the neighborhood! One of these "suitors"...a
very BOLD and GORGEOUS Chocolotte Lab, scratches and jumps up on the
outside screen door in his attempts to get Pepper outside! CUTE...YES!
FUNNY...YES AND NO! I don't need and can't afford to raise and take
care of a litter of puppies! lol
But UNFORTUNATELY,
this all PALES in comparison to my left leg and ankle issues!
While my ankle and
leg are healing nicely and feel a whole lot better, I've been awaiting
the word from Dr. Boynton's office for the date that I will be having
the LARGE screw (pin) removed from my left ankle!
It seem that while
my Medical Insurance Provider consented and paid for the needed surgery
where the large pin, along with seven other smaller screws (pins) and
a steel plate were inserted during surgery on September 29th, they do
NOT want to consent for the removal of the larger pin...which should've
been removed by now!
Now...once the larger
pin is removed, I will shortly afterwards be able to remove the surgical
"boot" from my left foot and leg, and will be able to get back into a
"regular" shoe! And once that happens, I can start walking WITHOUT the
aid of the crutches that I have "been living on", and will shortly be
able to...once again...begin riding my bicycle!
BUT...until my
Insurance Provider authorizes payment of the removal, I am STUCK in the
damned "boot"!
So...there you have
what's going on with me currently! It's not much fun...but it's a LOT
LESS than MANY people have to put up or suffer with! I guess that I
should just be thankful that MY situation isn't more serious than it
is!
Anyway...I HOPE
that YOU are ALL...WELL, SAFE and WARM, wherever you are!
TAKE CARE and I'll
post more later!
